Preparation Method (General)

1. Dissolve the required amount of dehydrated medium in distilled water.

2. Heat with gentle stirring until the powder completely dissolves.

3. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.

4. Cool the medium to 45–50°C and aseptically add sterile defibrinated blood if preparing blood agar plates.

5. Mix gently and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
