Description
An Alcohol Hydrometer is an instrument used to measure the relative density of liquid alcohol based on buoyancy. The alcohol to be tested is poured into a tall container or cylinder, often a graduated cylinder, and the hydrometer is gently lowered into the liquid until it floats freely.
It provides alcohol content measurements to prove spirit and Tralles (percent of alcohol by volume). It is used only for distilled spirits, not fermented beverages like beer, wine, mead, and cider. A higher reading means the liquid is denser (heavier) than water, and a lower reading means it is lighter.
Features: This is proof of the spirit scale, 0 to 100. Percent of alcohol by volume scale (Tralles) 0 to 100.
