Description
The MI TDS Water Quality Meter, Tester Pen is a compact and easy-to-use tool designed to measure the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water. TDS refers to the combined content of inorganic and organic substances, such as salts, minerals, and metals, that are dissolved in water. The meter is commonly used to check the quality of drinking water, fish tanks, pools, aquariums, and water filtration systems.

General Applications of MI TDS Water Quality Testing Meter:
- Drinking Water Quality: Helps users ensure that their tap or bottled water is within a safe TDS range for consumption. Most people prefer TDS readings below 300 ppm for drinking water, although up to 500 ppm is generally considered acceptable for health.
- Aquarium and Fish Tanks: Regular testing ensures that the TDS levels in aquariums are suitable for aquatic life. Different species of fish and plants require specific TDS ranges.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems: After passing water through an RO filter, a TDS meter can verify how well the system has removed dissolved solids, with TDS levels usually dropping to a low range (under 50 ppm).
- Pools and Hot Tubs: Measures water quality to check for excess minerals and ensure it is within ideal ranges for swimmers.
