Abscisic acid is a plant hormone or phytohormone that regulates numerous aspects of plant growth, development, and stress response. Abscisic acid-deficient mutants in various plant species exhibit reduced seed dormancy and wilted phenotypes, highlighting that these important abscisic acid functions are conserved in the plant kingdom. Functions of Abscisic Acid:

  • Inhibits seed germination and metabolism of the plant.
  • For dropping fruits from trees, used as a spraying agent.

Uses of Abscisic Acid
